Dear fellow subjects who are starting school--BEGINNING OF SCHOOL SUCKS DOESN'T IT? Well, I'm actually somewhat looking forward to going back since I have a lot to look forward to in the next couple months, including some new pieces I've been working on and the release of Tokio Hotel's new album Humanoid. Currently I am confused when it comes to art based careers. After all, animator and curator and preservationist are three very different jobs. I will have to research my way out of this, but at least the future looks bright either way. Root of my summer: lots of self discovery and self preservation. Though I only vacationed for three days within this country this summer, it was still rather eye opening to see Houston's Galleria. It was about the size of my whole entire city, so that should put things into perspective. I feel things changing around me, and with that my artwork will change as well. I'm going to change my mediums and the subject matters of my pieces. I feel that I have more to offer than what I have done in the past. Plus, Tokio Hotel's complete redesign of themselves inspired me. Sure I was apprehensive of their new ideas at first, but after hearing the core of their songs and remembering that they're still the same people, I began to like their new changes. Once again I'm taught something by people I have never met. So to all of you, do not be afraid of school starting, the homework load, fitting in and all those obstacles. Just remember what you can learn on your own, and how it is important to you. Just because your mind is being filled with archaic junk throughout the year, doesn't mean you can't research things that are important to you.
